Tech Trek for Middle School Girls
Seaside Branch meeting for November featured a program for the summer Tech Trek camp for recommended girls prior to eighth grade. Seaside girls from Broadway Middle School have participated in this for a number of years along with recommended girls from the north coast communities of Astoria and Warrenton. Program is held at the Community College in Tillamook. Seaside AAUW Board Plans Program for Year
Seaside AAUW Board met in August to formulate the program for the year and to plan for the Candidates Forum to be co-sponsored with the Seaside Signal on Sept. 19, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Seaside City Hall. The public is encouraged to attend to learn about the following candidates for mayor: Jay Barber and John Chapman; city council: Tita Montero, Dana Phillips, and Steve Wright all running for the Seaside Council. Council positions open for Gearhart are Paulina Cockrum, and Kerry Smith and Jack Zimmerman who are opposing each other. Tiffiny Mitchell Democrat, Vineeta Lower, Republican, and Brad Halvorson are running for District 32 House of Representatives have indicated they will be present or represented.
